Full Steam Ahead!

It’s been full steam ahead creating a children’s resource for the North Yorkshire Moors Railway! 

NYMR asked us to create a children’s guidebook to retail in their gift shop. It was important that the book was engaging for children of all ages, whilst telling the story of the unique history of this much-loved attraction. Complementing their existing brand guidelines was really important too.

We worked closely with the team at the vintage railway to create a 28-page guide, packed with educational elements, fun facts and highlights of the stations along the line. The pages are brought to life with hand-drawn illustrations of characters, wildlife and puzzles to keep children entertained whilst travelling on the train and still have plenty to do once back home. 

The result is a fresh, vibrant and engaging book for children of all ages (including BIG kids). We always work with our clients to bring their attractions alive for families, turning a visit into a family experience and ensuring visitors are more likely to return.

We can create various illustration styles, created by our studio design team. For this project the client was looking for a particular, hand-painted illustration style.
