Here are 7 not so tricky tips to help you to benefit from at this popular time of year and attract more customers to your business.
1. Get spooky and social with your online media
Encourage your followers to share with you their Halloween creations. Whether it is a kid’s pumpkin carving, a home-made spooky costume and decorations, or Halloween-themed cooking and baking. Ask your followers to tag you in their posts and encourage their friends and family to get involved too, this will help you to reach a wider audience and add to your followers.
Why not go a step further and turn it into a competition and crown your winning ghoul’s creation on All Hallows' Eve?
2. Spine-tingling hashtags
Halloween offers a wide variety of hashtags which you can use as a tool for other users to find you on social media sites such as Twitter and Instagram. You can use this as an opportunity for you to shout or scream about what is going on at your business now. Why not create your own hashtag to suit your business, or use some of these trending tags to get you started?

3. Deck your halls spook-tacularly
Decorating your site is a brilliant way to attract customers to your venue. Both children and adults will enjoy spending time looking at the decorations, and it will encourage them to get into the Halloween spirit and spend money on your Halloween-themed shop, food, drinks and products.
Get creative with your branding too. Even the smallest Halloween touches, such as adding a witch on a broom stick, flying bats or a pumpkin on your website, menus, signage, or gift bags will show customers that you are into the season and will encourage them to visit and spread the word to family and friends.
4. Team up with a fellow ghoul
Don’t be afraid to team up with another business or businesses which are able to offer a different service from you. This will benefit both parties.
5. Tailored treats specific to your customers
Everyone welcomes a discount or seasonal offer, discount codes with a Halloween theme are a great way to attract new business and reward your loyal, current customers. By accompanying marketing emails, with your on-brand message, with a quirky subject title is a quick, simple and effective way to spread the word.
6. No tricks, just treats!
Trick-or-treating is one of the most popular Halloween traditions. Why not offer sweets or other goodies to children who visit your site which have the best Halloween costume and offer them a trick or treat goody bag? Make sure you use this opportunity to add your own marketing material into the bag for adults to read and find out about offers or special events you may be hosting at Christmas or the in the New Year.
