Colour Heroes is an entrepreneurial, independent creator of children’s book and bespoke activity resources, working in the restaurant, heritage, leisure and charity sectors. Our small, friendly team work with clients including Harvester restaurants, the Aspro Parks Group, Help for Heroes, Alton Towers, Woodland Trust and National Trust. We are based in Easingwold which is 13 miles north of York and on good bus routes.
Due to exciting expansion over the last year, we are recruiting an experienced, enthusiastic and proactive sales professional. The role will involve creating your own opportunities and appointments, and the role requires the development of existing warm leads, building strong relationships with key decision makers in local, regional and national companies. We are looking for someone with excellent telephone skills and a confident approach to drive sales and help us to achieve our ambitious growth target.
Key responsibilities:
  • Build and develop existing relationships with key customers
  • Research and create new opportunities
  • Work daily to convert ‘warm leads’ into business opportunities
  • Accurately update and maintain client information on our database
Essential experience:
  • Experience in relationship building over the telephone
  • Proven ability to convert leads into business
  • Experience of taking a structured approach to building new business
  • Confident listening and communication skills, and experience in liaising with decision-making professionals
  • Professional and articulate with a ‘can-do’ approach to problem-solving
  • Highly organised with an ability to multitask and prioritise workload
  • Excellent IT skills, proficient in MS office
  • Able to work in a small team in an open-plan office
Desired experience:
  • Experience or an interest in the tourism industry would be an advantage
  • Experience in B2B sales would be useful but not essential
  • A working knowledge of Sage ACT (our customer database)
Every day will involve day-to-day contact and management of multiple and varied clients and managing data and callbacks, effectively, therefore no two days are the same. This is not a call centre position, but you do need to enjoy an office-based telephone role. Ideally you will work Monday to Friday, 9-5, full-time role, but part-time and flexible working hours will be considered for the right candidate.
  • Salary: Negotiable dependent on experience
  • Minimum sales experience required – 2 years
  • Full UK driving licence preffered
